girls talk shirts it's been a long time it has been, and I am sorry, I apologize there, this, I apologize. This season of sickness has grabbed a hold of me and will not let go, and so will you be hearing me cough a lot? Yes, because I literally cannot help it. If you hear wheezing, it's me struggling to get breath in and out of my lungs. I will try my best to move away from the mic and to edit it out, but you know what this is life, and if you can't handle a cough here and there, then what are you doing here?
Speaker 2:Oxygenating the body is a difficult thing, it really is.
Speaker 1:I've got a lot of different organs and whatnot that need oxygen to survive, and every breath, quite honestly, might be my last because it's just taken a lot out of me. But let's, let's just get down to business here. Savannah, yes, I don't know if you heard. Did you hear that A little?
Speaker 2:bit. It sounded really weird and I couldn't move on.
Speaker 1:We have the privilege a blessing, if you will. I was going to say the same To go and see the one, the only Backstreet Boys in las vegas, at the sphere, at the sphere this summer, july 12th, we're coming for you I'm so excited I can't even I literally I can't. I can't even wait like I wish it was tomorrow so we can just go out there and see them. I am so so excited.
Speaker 2:So let's rewind. Okay, a few weeks ago I'm on my facebook and this ad pops up and says that they've announced this. Actually, no, I think it was on tiktok. And then I went on Facebook and I saw the same thing and they've announced this tour of only like 12 dates of their residency in Las Vegas. So I, of course, tag Emily. I'm like Emily, we need to go to this. And Emily responds, and in my head, honestly, I'm not going to lie because of many things we've planned in our lifetime, like Australiaia and emily writes back and she says we have to go. I agree, I agree most strongly, yes. And the conversation then begins with the husbands yeah, and aaron could not care less. But so then we, we talk about it. Emily gets in the pre-sale yes, bing bang, boom, we've clinched it. Yes, well, anthony clinched it, because anthony is the man behind the clicking.
Speaker 1:So yeah, I feel like we should go back even farther to high school, you and I being obsessed with the Backstreet Boys, and we do have a music video that we made of us to a Backstreet Boys song. I'm sure I could. I mean, I did post a little snippet of it on our stories did you see dr jibo's comment about it was? She the one that wrote in the in the messages. Yeah, I was like, who is this person?
Speaker 2:yeah, I didn't realize it was dr jibo and she said this is, this is such a gem of a video. I'm gonna go ahead and apologize if you hear a little racket in the background. Um, we have, um, a tiny human who is in trouble, so she's sitting in here in silence instead of playing with the other ones. Um, so yeah, dr jibo wrote back on that video and she said how much of a gem that video is should I post the whole thing, dr Jibo, because? I'm pretty sure it's still on Facebook.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's how I found it, I just, but I couldn't, I couldn't save it to my phone, so I just had to do like a screen recording of it, yep, so I could, I guess, just screen record the entire thing, anyway. So, yes, anthony, I talked with him. He is the one that makes the money in my household. So I did ask hey, could Savannah and I just have this weekend of fun and enjoyment to go and see our favorite boy band? And it really, I mean, he was like, yeah, sure, let's, let's look into it. You know, and at the time the the presale hadn't started yet, so you'd have to wait anyway. So we had to wait for the presale and there was like a certain date that you had to wait for. But then I was seeing other people post about oh, just got my tickets. And so I told Anthony, hey, I think the pre-sale is already open because I'm seeing these people post about it. And he was like, well, that can't be. You know, blah, blah, blah. So then he looks into it. And he was like, oh, my gosh, it is already open. Let me, you know, go ahead and get these tickets before you know, all the good seats are taken. And he went and got all of it. He got the tickets, he got the hotel room, he got the airline stuff and rental car and everything. So we're good to go.
Speaker 1:Honestly, the only thing I have to do now is find an outfit, and the backstreet boys did make a video asking everybody to try their best to wear all white. They said a little bit. They said a little bit of blue, a little bit of blue. Yes, thank you, nick, for adding that in. And if you don't know, this whole concert series is kind of like a throwback to their Millennium album, which in my opinion, is one of their best albums. I have it pulled up right here If you don't know, the Millennium album was released in 1999. So really, right before the Millennium and I want it that way, larger than life, show me the meaning of being lonely. It's got to be you, back to your heart. I mean just real, the one I love, the one I actually have a note that I wrote here of my favorite songs.
Speaker 2:I don't these are not all in the millennium. However, they did say that they're singing every song from the millennium album. They're also going to sing some others of their, you know, greatest hits, which one that I honestly kind of forgot about is called the call I love the call oh my god, it's so good, it's so good.
Speaker 2:And if they don't play that song I might be a little upset. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, because it's iconic. It is iconic. And then I'm a little biased to the song Hello, hello, hello, like it's so good. And then I am biased to the song Everybody, because I did do a little performance to that song in high school. What else do I have on here? Larger Than Life, of course, more than that. I don't know if that's on millennium, I don't think it is. Um, I need you tonight. I think that's on millennium yes don't want you back.
Speaker 2:That's on millennium, don't?
Speaker 1:don't want you back, that is just incredible drowning.
Speaker 2:I know that's not a millennium, but that song is so good, oh my gosh.
Speaker 1:So so good.
Speaker 2:There is a line. I'm exposing myself here, but there's a line from Drowning that I actually put in my vows. Okay, and it was like even forever won't be long enough. And I put that in my vows because that statement is just like oh, it's so good. Yes, and don't want to lose you. Now I don't know if that's don't want to lose is that on millennium now um?
Speaker 1:let me see, I have.
Speaker 2:I don't think it is don't want to lose you.
Speaker 1:Now is millennium.
Speaker 2:Yes, okay, um, incomplete.
Speaker 1:That's not millennium, but that's no, but that one is so good. Nick carter in that song is just so good. Incomplete. That song would literally be incomplete without nick I agree.
Speaker 2:I agree most strongly. It's oh so good as long as you love me. That's a oldie, but such a goodie yes it's gotta be you it's gonna be in. Yes, those were like I just had. Whenever we started talking about this on the podcast, I just wrote down all the songs that popped in my head.
Speaker 1:Yes, I agree. Every single one that you said I agree with. I'm also going to add some like really old ones. We've Got it Going On. But yes, we've Got it Going on is one of their very old ones, came out in 1996. But it's just such a good like dancing one. And I do have to say I have played backstreet boys for my kids and atticus now also loves them like he loved. He also loves the call, he loves um backstreet's back larger than life, like he loves them and like he'll ask to like watch, like their music videos and stuff on youtube and whatnot. I'm like, okay, fine, I guess we'll watch the backstreet.
Speaker 2:Yeah, if twist my arm a little bit more you know, if there was ever an episode that we should have like recorded ourselves like a video, it should be this one, because we could like play all the songs and I know I feel like we would be having a dance party in here, but I feel like I feel like I could if I connected my phone to the bluetooth.
Speaker 1:Maybe that means I could play a song yeah, let me see.
Speaker 2:I don't see why not this is so dangerous.
Speaker 1:Will we be doing much talking now that we figured this out?
Speaker 2:This is the song. This is the music video song.
Speaker 1:This is the music video song Whoops. Oh, all right, oh my gosh, let me see if I can find the one that I was just talking about, the one that's like Got it going on.
Speaker 2:Oh love, I gotta say our music video to this is just.
Speaker 1:It's top tier, it's magic, okay. So this next one is called We've Got it Going On. Okay, this is We've Got it Going On.
Speaker 2:Mm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Speaker 1:And the music video. It's so lame because it's from, you know, the 90s, so there's like it's a lot of you know flashing and like kind of going in and out of scenes and whatnot, yeah, and it's almost, it's almost cringy, but I do enjoy watching it sometimes.
Speaker 2:That's a good one.
Speaker 1:And I will. I do need to let you know something my favorite backstreet boy, it's brian I.
Speaker 2:I had a feeling we were going to discuss this brian latrell is my favorite.
Speaker 1:Back now I will say I do love all of them, but I don't know what it is about Brian, I just really like Brian. And then a very close second is Nick, because I mean, have you seen Nick?
Speaker 2:I know Nick is top tier for me. Yeah, it's not even close, to be fair.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I want to say it was McDonald's. Hold on one second. That's a weird sentence. To say yeah it is, and I'm not say it was McDonald's, hold on one second, that's a weird sentence.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it is, and I'm not explaining it.
Speaker 1:So okay, yeah, it was McDonald's. When I was a kid, mcdonald's toys used to be really good. Do you remember like McDonald's used to have?
Speaker 2:just like, and they used to change them out like pretty frequently yeah, but like appropriately and they would be like actual toys it wasn't just like this random I don't need like the stuff that they have now.
Speaker 1:It's like what even is this?
Speaker 2:yeah what.
Speaker 1:What are my children supposed to do with this? This is lame. There was at one time they had it was the backstreet boys. Were these different? Oh, this is perfect. This shows like all of them, um, and I don't even know like why they are dressed the way that they are.
Speaker 1:All of them right here well it's not showing all of them, because there's five of them and it's only showing four, but um, so they're. They were these toys, and I don't know why they're dressed like this. I couldn't, I couldn't tell you why they're dressed like this. Is that they're? They were these toys, and I don't know why they're dressed like this.
Speaker 2:I couldn't I couldn't tell you why they're dressed like this is that they're larger than life, maybe, maybe but. I think it's brian.
Speaker 1:If brian's this one right here, he's not really wearing a suit, like the other ones are. Let me see if I can. Oh, yeah, here's one, but now this is the only one I had was Brian, and he has this basketball in his hand and, like the end of the basketball is on fire. And when I was a kid, I used to play basketball. I played basketball and soccer. Fun fact, brian also likes basketball and so I think that that's why I gravitated towards Brian. Yeah, but I know that this was like the only one that I had. We didn't go to McDonald's very much, but I do know I got this one and I wonder if my parents still have it somewhere, because they kept a lot of my childhood toys and stuff. But do you? Does this look familiar at all to you?
Speaker 2:It does, but I'm still stuck of trying to figure out, because I don't think it can be larger than life, because this one is nick, isn't it? This one yeah, that wasn't his larger than life outfit his larger than life.
Speaker 1:Outfit is yellow yeah, like this one yeah, yeah, I don't know. I don't know why. I don't know. I don't know why they are dressed this way. I don't know what. Don't know the I don't know. I don't know why they are dressed this way. I don't know what.
Speaker 1:Don't know the story behind it but yes, I do recall those toys, but yeah, so I had the one, or maybe it was burger king, this. This is now saying burger king, which that would be odd because we never went to burger king, so why would I have it? Um, but yeah, they're kind of dressed weirdly, but I had this one of Brian and he's holding this basketball that's on fire for whatever reason, I guess because he's really good at basketball, I don't know, um, and so I just always kind of had this like well, now I really like Brian because he also likes basketball.
Speaker 2:I am a diehard Nick Carter fan. Yeah, and we actually, which I shared with Emily the other day that was a weird sound that just came out of my throat but we had a picture. Were we in Detroit when we took that picture? Was that in Phoenix? No, that was Phoenix. We have a picture where there was a Backstreet Boys sign it was Backstreet Boys.
Speaker 1:They went on tour with um, what's that one?
Speaker 2:new kids on the block and we took a picture pointing to our people. So Emily is obviously pointing to Brian, I am pointing to Nick and I also in that picture, just want to point out the giantness that is the water bottles we're carrying.
Speaker 1:I thought I saw you. You posted that picture, did something with that picture recently because of getting the tickets and whatnot. And I also saw the water bottles and I was like man. But I think it was because, like somebody told us, oh, it's really hot in Phoenix, so you guys are going to be drinking a whole bunch of water.
Speaker 2:I can guarantee it took me all day to drink that one bottle. Same Now I could probably go through three or four of those, but then putting water in my mouth was that wasn't mixed with a teabag.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and sugar.
Speaker 2:No, thank you, sugar. Uh. No, thank you, no thank you?
Speaker 1:I don't think they. They didn't even have sweet tea in phoenix, did they? No, because remember, we went, we went to somewhere. I think it was like outback or something, because going to outback back then was like oh my gosh and we asked for sweet tea and they were like yeah what are you talking about?
Speaker 2:what are you talking about? I can bring you unsweet tea with sugar.
Speaker 1:Yeah, oh, so it doesn't dissolve because it's already cold. Don't do you know science? Oh my gosh, it has to be warm, preferably hot, when you pour in I don't know, like a whole pound of sugar, literally, and stir it in, and then you can pour it over the ice, an entire glass full of ice, preferably the kind that I can then chew afterwards.
Speaker 2:I drank a lot of soda on that trip. Because of that reason, nobody had sweet tea. Yeah Same, I guess we could move on to well. First off, I also wanted to point out my very first concert as a child was backstreet boys what a lucky duck.
Speaker 1:I was not allowed to go to concerts, and if I was, it was some sort of christian concert that was happening at our church.
Speaker 2:I went with my three cousins and my aunt, my mom and I believe my uncle Joey also came with us as well because he was, you know, down for the party. And one of my cousins actually recently went through a bunch of old childhood pictures and I'm pretty sure this picture was when we were at the concert. Let me find it two seconds. Uh, we all had matching outfits because that's what our parents did, because if you lost one you say that's dress, just I need one more that looks exactly like this one.
Speaker 1:Oh my gosh, Savannah, should we recreate that?
Speaker 2:It's down to the key chain. Placement of the matching is what gets me.
Speaker 1:Yes, I need you to zoom in on your feet for a moment, please.
Speaker 2:Oh, oh. What are we doing? What are we doing? So these jeans had these like the cuffs at the bottom? It had cheetah it had the cheetah print because it came with a cheetah and you also have cheetah and is the writing also in cheetah? Yes, don't ask me what it says. Rock star, maybe that sounds right, but yeah, that's myself, ally and becky and lauren. Yes, um, oh, there's my mom and my aunt. They were matching. They had their uh, leopard print vests on, of course, but we will be posting that on social media.
Speaker 2:But my aunt had a couple of drinks in her, had a glow stick on a necklace and was sewing in it and it went out of her hand and she goes whoop and it hit the people behind. I to this day when I told my aunt actually that we were going, should we buy glow sticks? Absolutely. But when I told her I was like now I get to get a glow stick and throw it at somebody.
Speaker 1:We'll be hitting people in the eye, sockets, left and right with those glow sticks um.
Speaker 2:So yeah, I don't think the concert we went to was millennium I. I want to say it was Black and Blue, oh my gosh.
Speaker 1:Black and Blue is such a good album. Hold on. Black and Blue had more than that, but what? Let me see the Answer to Our Life. It's True Shape of my Heart. The Call, obviously, obviously.
Speaker 2:So 2001 was when they went on tour for Black and Blue.
Speaker 1:That makes sense, that looks like you were, that would make sense, Like it would have been what Like nine Eight 2001.
Speaker 2:I was eight, I don't know. It was either millennium or black and blue, um, but yeah. So that was my very first concert as a child, so the excitement of seeing them now as an adult is on a whole other level. Yeah, yeah, and to go with you is just a whole other is that the?
Speaker 1:only other one that you have of them yeah, yeah okay, I did have the opportunity to see them in 20. I don't know where anthony I know I went with anthony, but I don't know if we were married yet. If we were married, it was very and I don't think I had Atticus yet either, so it may have been 2013,. 2014 at the. What are they called the amphitheater now? These days they change the name of it all the time the State Fairground ones.
Speaker 2:Yeah, the Mid-Florida Amphitheater, okay, okay.
Speaker 1:I think that's what it's called now. Okay, so that's where I saw them here, which was fun, and then we went again, just like maybe two years ago. We went and we missed them. They came here again to Tampa, but we missed them. So then we went to see them in Lexington, which that was a lot of fun. So I have seen them twice fairly recently, especially the last time, but I am so excited to see them again and to go to someplace that neither one of us have ever been before. Did we say that we're seeing them in Las Vegas?
Speaker 2:Did we mention that?
Speaker 1:I think at the beginning we said we're seeing them at their Las Vegas show, yes, so they are having, like this residency thing in Las Vegas, at this place called the Sphere, which if you don't know what it is, please look it up. It is this big, like panoramic, it's so cool, experience type of thing, um, and I don't, I don't know what they are planning on doing with it, because I know that, like each person that has been there has like something very unique to them going on, with all the different effects that they can do.
Speaker 1:But I am so excited, I'm so excited and I think it'll be fun to like go to Las Vegas, because we've never been before. We are asking for your help. If you have been to Vegas, can you tell us fun things to do that we will be able to fit into a very quick weekend. We are getting there. I think. Our flight arrives like 10, 30 in the morning, vegas time. So we will have a good amount of Friday to do something, to explore and do something, and then the concert on Saturday isn't until like 8 o'clock or seven o'clock or something. So we will have a good portion of Saturday to do something and then we leave Sunday.
Speaker 2:So if you've been there before, maybe and don't just say gambling yeah, because I don't. I have gambled once in my life and I lost a lot of money, so I'm not doing it again.
Speaker 1:I don't really have any desire to play the slots or something like. Like something else that can be fun. If all that there is to do in vegas is to gamble, then poo poo on you, vegas you should have to be hanging out in our hotel. I don't know, maybe our hotel will have like a really nice pool area or something we can I think it did.
Speaker 2:I looked it up. It looks very nice. I think it has a spa too.
Speaker 1:We should like maybe we can look into just getting some sort of spa, something or other get like our nails done or something yes, yes, that could be really fun. And then also like food, if there's really good food spots. I think vegas is supposed to have good food going on. So if you know, and is that something we need to?
Speaker 2:book.
Speaker 1:Yeah. Like our reservation is very hard to get.
Speaker 2:Yeah, we're a few months out, but like is that when you need to book a reservation for something like a nice dinner?
Speaker 1:I don't know. Honestly, the only thing I know about Vegasgas is what I have seen um from csi, so a lot of dead people and then um the hangover I was just about to say, the hangover is what I've seen.
Speaker 2:My parents have been to vegas okay, a few times. I was never invited, rude, to be fair, I wasn't 21 the times that they went, and I think the one time I was 21, I couldn't go or some odd reason, I don't know, but they have been, and the only thing my dad tells me is how hot I'm going to be but you know what?
Speaker 1:we survived Phoenix and I gotta feel like we could survive this, although you know, we went to Phoenix when we were seniors in high school and I remember like it being like hot and then, um, last summer, me, anthony and the kids had a trip in Arizona. We went, we were in Phoenix for like a day, and then Grand Canyon and then Sedona, um, and the one day we were in Phoenix it was like holy crap. I literally forgot about the whoosh how hot and it's just like it's just a constant heat. It's not like it like hits you just for a moment and then like you kind of get used to it like this constant, and it was like I couldn't control my eyes. It was like so hot my eyes just like instantly started watering like the minute you would walk out of like your hotel or a restaurant or something.
Speaker 1:It just hits you yeah and you're just kind of like oh my, like I couldn't keep my eyes open. It was so hot.
Speaker 2:Um, and then the hotel we stayed at had a pool and the pool, like it was so hot outside, like with the sun, the pool was also fairly warm, like it wasn't like super cool, to like really cool you off from the heat I always find it so weird because, like, even during the summertime here, like it, it always cools down just slightly at night. Not like ever. It's like cold, like it's still hot, but it I feel like there always is like a slight decrease in the temperature at night, Whereas when we were in Phoenix I almost felt like it got hotter at night and I did not understand it at all.
Speaker 2:Yes, the good thing about it was there was no humidity. Give me the heat, just take away the humidity. And I did not understand it at all. Yes, the good thing about it was there was no humidity. Give me the heat, just take away the humidity and I'm okay, I don't know how it is in Vegas. Do they have the same humidity or is it like Phoenix?
Speaker 1:I gotta feel like, because it's over in that same general area as Phoenix, it should be similar.
Speaker 2:Yeah, humidity wise my dad suggested we go see the hoover dam and take a damn picture.
Speaker 1:How far, how far is the hoover dam from? I't tell you.
Speaker 2:But every time this man talks about the Hoover Dam in Vegas I'm like it's a wall, it's holding no water.
Speaker 1:I mean, if I could go see it and see it like bust at the seams, like some crazy dramatic thing, and I could be safe from you know whatever kind of damage that would be, then maybe it's a half-hour drive from Las Vegas to the Hoover Dam.
Speaker 2:Oh, that's not bad, no, but again it's a wall holding water. What is the purpose?
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, I don't get it.
Speaker 2:I don't get it, so that's a big no. Thanks to Daddy-O's suggestion, yes. Please have your suggestions be a lot better than the hoover tail so next we can talk about what we're wearing. Yes, so I know we kind of dabbled in it a little bit ago, but we they did announce that they want everybody to wear as much white as possible, maybe throw a little bit of blue in there. So yeah, that's, that's something we got to figure out. Yeah, the idea I have.
Speaker 1:Can my little bit of blue be blue jeans or like blue? Jean shorts, even if they're like light, like a light wash. Can I get away with that? Or am I needing to look for a white top and white?
Speaker 2:pants. So my plan again, we'll see if I'm confident enough to pull this off. But I found a white denim skort. Ooh, where that? On Amazon, amazon actually. I saw it on tiktok shop and then I also found it on amazon. But, um, it's a skort, but it's not like a regular skort, where the back of them looks like shorts and just the front looks like a skirt. It looks like a skirt, okay, and then there's just shorts underneath, but it's a white skort. And then I found this like flowy, like white tanks type situation, but it has like sequins all over it. Let me see if I can find it, um, and but yeah, I, I know, I don't know, yeah, I um, I'm trying to find.
Speaker 1:Have you ever like um, shopped or looked at anything at altered state?
Speaker 2:I've looked at it. I've never bought anything. That's the top I'm talking about oh, that's cute, but it's not super white, though it's more like silver. So I'm like I don't know if that matches like the vibe. That's cute, but it's not super white, though. It's more like silver. So I'm like I don't know if that matches like the vibe.
Speaker 1:That's my problem with clothes on Amazon is, I feel, like the color? It always has like this weird, like it looks photoshopped the color of every little thing, and that's why I am always so weary about buying clothes on Amazon, Cause it just doesn't. It doesn't look like a real picture.
Speaker 2:Right, yeah. And then I thought about doing like because, like back in the nineties, like wearing like parachute pants, like this yeah.
Speaker 1:But I saw those same pants on Amazon Cause I. I went on Amazon and I typed in like all white concert outfit or something and that was something that popped up and I was like that looks so 90s. Yeah, with like some dunks. Yeah, yes.
Speaker 2:And then like a I'm but are we going to be sweating? Those aren't super thick though. Yeah, I mean they especially those ones.
Speaker 1:They look really thin to where, like I would honestly be worried about like the underwear underneath showing through, Honestly. Yeah, especially because it is an Amazon thing. Yeah, so I don't put like it was not until night. Surely, at night it might be a little bit cooler and it's inside, so maybe even inside the sphere it'll be. It won't be super hot, yeah, you know, cause I mean they don't want it super hot either. They're, you know, dancing around and singing.
Speaker 2:We just can't like walk around a lot before the concert. Right, right, right, right, like we have to go from the hotel to the concert.
Speaker 1:Yes, exactly, um, but I did want to ask you like do you want to try to match or we just kind of do our own thing? I would love it if we could somehow some way, and where there's a will, there is a way. I believe there is a way. These look thicker, can we? They do, but are they too thick at that point? Can we somehow get the backstreet boys to notice us, not just in the crowd, but I'm saying like beforehand?
Speaker 1:do we just need to be making like tiktoks something and we're just constantly hyping up how excited we are and it won't be fake, because we are very excited.
Speaker 2:We've literally discussed this like almost every day since. Yeah, I don't know how, I don't know, I don't know.
Speaker 1:If you're listening Backstreet Boys and we hope that you are we're very excited. If you want to, I don't know make it to where we can meet you. Anthony tried so hard to try to find some sort of package thing to where we could get backstage passes to be able to meet him, but he couldn't find anything. Are they offering? I haven't seen anything. Oh, okay, there was this one website that they had been advertising for you to get like package deal stuff, so like you get your tickets for the concert, the airline and the hotel all as like a package deal and it comes with like transportation from the airport to the hotel and then from the hotel to the sphere and all this stuff. And there was like different levels of that kind of package. And I did. I was saying let's just get this because it has everything in it. And he was like no, like it has stuff in it that you guys don't want to do, and then, like you're forced to travel with all of these other people who are also purchasing it.
Speaker 1:Like you guys wouldn't be able to like travel yourself. Like if you want to be able to do something on friday or saturday before anything happens, you're then either forced to walk or like get an Uber or whatever. And he doesn't, he doesn't mind using Uber, like when him and I have gone places cause we're together, but like he's like I don't want you using Uber by yourself. Like what if somebody does try to kill you guys? You know.
Speaker 2:Fair.
Speaker 1:I was like okay, you know, I appreciate that. Yeah, I was like okay, you know, I appreciate that from me.
Speaker 2:Yes, exactly, oh, maybe I'll order these pants just to kind of see, and then just see, and then we can just kind of go from there.
Speaker 1:I was looking on Altered State. I have bought several things from them before. They have a store um, I think it's the Tampa international mall and, um, I like their stuff. And so I was on their website and I was just like they had some thing came out that was like oh, concert, like summer concert stuff, and like one of the shirts was like this, oh yeah. And I was like, oh, that is so cute. And like one of the shirts was like this, oh yeah, and I was like, oh, that is so cute.
Speaker 2:And like.
Speaker 1:I could just wear like light wash jeans with it, yeah. But then I started thinking like, oh well, my body doesn't look like that girl's body.
Speaker 2:Well, that's the only thing. I mean I, I'm down to match if you want to. Um, I mean I'm down to match if you want to. We have very different bodies, so.
Speaker 1:They do also have like this skort type of thing, but it's it definitely looks like shorts from the back, like this is the back, oh yeah, and then the front looks like this See that's cute, but like why can't they just make it look like a skirt?
Speaker 2:Yeah, why can't you?
Speaker 1:just have this flap going all the way around. I'll show you this skirt, and I wouldn't mind wearing a skort type of thing, especially if it will be hot. But then what kind of shirt?
Speaker 2:Yeah see, that's the problem, Because the outfits I had envisioned was either a skirt with a flowy kind of tank situation or cargo pants with a tighter, more form-fitting, like sure, tank or something with like some dunks yes, like all white and then like light blue and we can get matching dunks.
Speaker 1:Remember we used there were those shoes at um. What was that store that zeb used to work at? In the mall?
Speaker 2:we're 21, we're 21 um. I knew 21 oh my gosh I forgot that zeb works right.
Speaker 1:Um, do you remember those shoes that were in there? There was a pink pair and there was a green pair, but they were matching just different colors, and you and I always talked about how we were going to get them, and then we just never, never did, never did. Because that's what we do we talk about things and then we never follow through.
Speaker 2:But here we are following through.
Speaker 1:Oh my gosh, chat gbt gives outfit ideas. It says classic 90s vibes, okay saying crop tops, high-waisted jeans, chunky sneakers and choker necklaces we gotta get a choker necklace, yes, like those stretchy ones.
Speaker 1:Yes it says boy band merch. So vintage bsb t-shirts or diy concert outfits which I do have a couple of backstreet boys shirts like from the two um concerts that I went to. I got a shirt, and then I also I do have a shirt that I wore to the last concert and it is like an old school picture of them on it, but it's black.
Speaker 1:Oh so I can't if it was white then maybe yeah, but. And then it says glam ve look, sequined sparkles, statement accessories or comfort versus style, balancing cute with practical for a long night of dancing. So I like the idea of like the classic 90s vibes, like I like those pants that we both saw on. Amazon, and this can be stuff that, like we can, we'll post it for you guys to see and maybe you guys can vote on what you guys like I don't.
Speaker 2:I don't think this is the blue that they're thinking Right.
Speaker 1:No.
Speaker 2:I I.
Speaker 1:I think it. I think they're trying to go based off of like what the Millennium album looks like, you know. So I like how, like their album art is just like the white and then like see, like, even on the CD it's like a very light blue. Yeah, okay, so sorry about that, guys, we kind of got distracted looking at outfits. Um, we definitely need help. We will try to post a little bit on like our instagram stories and do like a poll, kind of see what you guys think.
Speaker 1:I think we are both now leaning towards doing kind of like a 90s y2k inspired outfit with kind of like baggy, like cargo pant type of pants and then some kind of like I don't know if we want a cropped tee, but definitely like a more form-fitting um t-shirt type of top, but not necessarily a t-shirt, but form-fitting top, yeah, um, and then like some nike like dunk shoes to go with that. But we need help. We definitely both got very just lost in our search to try to find the right pants. Neither one of us really foresaw it being such a difficult task, but that's like to me. That's the issue with shopping online is especially Amazon. There's just so much random stuff on Amazon and like very cheap kind of things on Amazon.
Speaker 2:Well, the problem also is, we're looking for white.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, kind of things on.
Speaker 2:Amazon. Well, the problem also is we're looking for white. Yeah, so it's. It's more likely to be see-through and the pictures on Amazon are just not. Now, let me not dog on Amazon, cause I am an Amazon girly.
Speaker 2:I buy all kinds of clothes from Amazon but it's harder when it's white because you just don't know, or just any lighter color in general, and I feel like every pair of pants that we've pulled up they look good, but then, like you, go down to like the reviews to see anything and nobody gets the white. So like you don't actually know if the white is going to be like super see-through and we are not experts on materials or fabrics, so it means nothing to me if it says cotton or polyester or spandex.
Speaker 1:I I know spandex is stretchy, what that means I don't.
Speaker 2:I don't know if that means it's going to be less see-through or more see-through, or I don't know. So and I've looked to see if there's like a store around us that has them. I've looked at Target, I've looked at Walmart and I've looked at Kohl's. None of them have anything.
Speaker 1:So we might need to expand the search to like a mall that will have better stores than the malls that we have here, yep. So maybe we need to be looking at the stores like the Brandon Mall or Tampa like West Shore or something.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I don't know, it's just, it's a lot and we really shouldn't even be stressing right now because it's not until July but you just never know, if you find something on one of these like rando websites, it might take 10 years for you to get it in the mail. So that's true. That's true.
Speaker 1:I mean, I don't know, I don't know but I also can be persuaded to go back to that white skirt thing that you and I both found on Amazon.
Speaker 2:But then what kind of top do we wear with that? I definitely, if we go more of the skort, I would probably wear a more like loose, flowier top, because I am somebody I don't like to be constricted and I you'll probably never catch me wearing tight bottoms and a tight shirt yeah, probably never. So I usually I have to switch it out. So if I'm wearing tight on the bottom which that score would be more form fitting I would want something more loose on top. Yeah, yeah, but I don't know, guys, I don't.
Speaker 1:We're going to have to end it here. Oh, you know what we said last time that we were going to do end our episodes with a Bible verse? Mm, hmm, and I have yet to open my Bible up today. But you know what? I have been trying my darndest to look at my Bible up every day and I so far I'm at a 50 day streak. Oh, look at you, I'm very happy for myself. Yeah, so today is Joshua one nine. This is my command to be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord, your God, is with you wherever you go. I love that verse.
Speaker 2:Same so much.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Oh, it's so good, and I feel like that could be tied in for what we're talking about, because I need to step out of my comfort zone when it comes to wearing clothes and you just be courageous, yeah, and just do it. Show a little bit more skin, it's fine. It's fine. Just love the body I'm in and it is what it is. It created this tiny human over here and I am proud of it With all of her, with all of her recalls.
Speaker 1:That's what I decided to call them, you know what I have started reading in my Bible app is they have a little devotional of the In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day and I have been reading that. I'm only on day four and I think it's like a just like a quick seven day devotion and I've been reading it and I'm like, oh, this is just so good, so good, so, and I honestly I don't have the book anymore. I don't know if I ever actually owned it or if I borrowed it from somebody, but I, I do not have it anymore and I, I would really love to get that book again and actually read the book again, really love to get that book again and actually read the book again.
Speaker 2:It's so good. I wish I could read. I probably could, because I don't remember everything that was in this book, but I could. I would love to just read that book for the first time again. Little snippet If you haven't read in a bit with a line on a snowy day by Mark Batterson.
Speaker 1:It's so good so good. It is all about this very minor character in the bible named benaiah and then there was benaiah who was a mighty warrior, um.
Speaker 1:So yeah, he, he. I call him a minor character because he is not mentioned very much in the bible. He is in the old testament. He's an unsung hero. He is an unsung hero, um and uh, he did a couple of things. He um chased a lion into a pit on a snowy day, killed it, and he? Um fought a. Two moabite warriors killed him, and he fought a giant and killed said giant with the giant's own spear. And he has very similar characteristics and story line kind of stuff, as, uh, david kind of has that fighting spirit that david had and he does eventually become the leader of David's armies. That's kind of like the last thing that you kind of read about is and then he became the leader of David's armies. Why? Because David probably saw a lot of himself in.
Speaker 1:Benaiah, probably, um. So yeah, if you're looking for a devotion on the Bible app or for a devotional style book to read, definitely look into. In a Pit with a Lion on a snowy day, I think that's all. That's it. We have no more to share. Just know that we are over the moon excited for this concert and you will probably be hearing a lot about it until we go, and then, even after we go, we'll probably still be talking about it, because I just can't fathom that. It, it, it won't just blow our minds.
Speaker 2:I'm so excited. I'm so excited. I know I've literally talked about it, since we decided like yes, like this is what we're doing yes, I'm so excited, same, and I'm so thankful to be able to go and, yeah, experience this.
Speaker 1:I know I'm just like oh, I don't even care about the heat, tell your father you can go, take the temperature and you know, put it somewhere else, I will take the hot or the cold. If it means going and seeing the Backstreet Boys, mm hmm, I'm so excited.
Speaker 2:Oh my gosh, and it's a weekend away. Yeah, I didn't even need to go to a concert. Just take me away. Yeah, just a quick little weekend away. Yeah, I didn't even need to go to a concert just take me away for a weekend.
Speaker 1:That'd be nice, a quick little weekend away uh, all right, guys. Well, we're sorry for the long hiatus between episodes I, you know, was sick and other things happening like family functions and stuff and you know, sometimes that happens, that just happens. And I also want to like whenever we do meet, I want us to have like an actual topic to talk about, you know. So sometimes I do kind of like to try to push it off. That way we can maybe have like an actual thing to talk about.
Speaker 2:So yeah, we, we push it off until we have a good topic, a meaningful topic, I guess. I should say that we could actually like really discuss, cause we've had random episodes, just kind of fillers, and I don't think we really want to continuously do that. So, yeah, I can't tell you when our next one will be Maybe next week, maybe in a couple of weeks, maybe.
Speaker 1:but you'll probably hear about the Backstreet Boys again, for sure, I'm just going to go ahead and let you know You're going to be hearing about the Backstreet Boys again.
Speaker 2:Anyways, follow us on Instagram and let us know your ideas about our outfits, yes, and also let us know what you want to hear yeah, from us, what. And also let us know what you want to hear, yeah, from us.
Speaker 1:What would you like us to talk about? Is there a topic that you're just like? I want to hear y'all's point of view on this or that, you know.
Speaker 2:I think once we get through acceptance of schools, I would like to discuss that whole process of like going in to, like getting ready for her to go into school, because I've this is my first time going through all of that, so I think we could like talk about that like the process of applying for schools and what they're needing to do to get accepted to the school, things of that sort because, I have a lot of thoughts so.
Speaker 2:So, yeah, we'll do that at some point, I'm sure. But other than that, thanks for listening. Yeah, hope you can join in our excitement with us about going to see the Backstreet.
Speaker 1:Boys. I mean, if you're not excited, then can I say something real quick. I did not know this when Anthony and I got married, but he is actually an NSYNC fan, and so now you know what to pray for me for. Thank you guys. So much for listening. We will see you or you'll hear us at some point in the future.
Speaker 2:We will. But also, on that note, whenever I mentioned the Backstreet Boys concert to Aaron, he goes oh yeah, bye, bye, bye, no, bye, bye, bye. No sir, no, no sir, thank you again. Get your boy band straight. He's like oh, that's one that jt's on no no wrong again. No, he doesn't care either way, but he doesn't know which one's. But yeah, all right, guys, thanks for listening. We will talk to you next time. All right, bye, thank you.
